PRICE PROMISE GUARANTEE

Elmsley Curtains And Blinds strives to provide exceptional value and excellent service to our customers. To ensure you always receive the best deal, we promise to beat any legitimate “Like for Like” shutters quote.

How our Price Promise guarantee works

We request that you provide a quotation with complete details of the plantation shutters and the company that we will be matching against. The quote must be for a product that we can supply and must match in size, design, and quality. Simply put, it must be a “like for like” quote. If you can present this to us, we will offer you a lower price.

 

How to claim our lowest price guarantee

Show your lower-priced current quote to your sales adviser, or send a copy of your quote to the following email address: elmsleycurtainsandblinds@outlook.com. Your claim must:

  • Include photocopies of the competing offer and product specifications. The offer must be less than 14 days old.

  • Be received within 7 days of signing your order with us.

  • Be limited to one claim per customer per order.

We will then make a final decision on whether the competitor’s product matches the features offered by Elmsley Curtains And Blinds.

YOUR WARRANTY

Elmsley Curtains And Blinds offers a 3-year warranty on all our shutters and a 10 year workmanship guarantee. Our shutters come with a 3-year product guarantee and a 10-year installation warranty covering any defective workmanship during fitting. Elmsley window shutters are crafted using a combination of advanced manufacturing and hand-finished detailing. The wood for our hardwood plantation shutters is stored for six months before being kiln-dried twice to reduce the risk of warping and twisting. We assemble the shutters prior to shipping to ensure perfect fit, then disassemble and pack them securely. For airfreight shipping, shutters are double-packed for added.

Elmsley Curtains and Blinds offer a one year warranty on blind products and 5 year fitting warranty.


WARRANTY TERMS

Elmsley Curtains And Blinds Limited guarantees that the plantation shutters we supply and install will be free from material and workmanship defects for as long as the original purchaser owns them, subject to the following conditions:

  • The products must be properly installed by us.

  • The products must be made or assembled exclusively from original materials and components.

Any resale or transfer of the product voids this warranty unless the warranty transfer option is exercised. This warranty does not cover commercial or rental properties.

This warranty is exclusive and replaces all other obligations or warranties. In no event shall Elmsley Curtains And Blinds Limited be liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any expense related to such damages. Repair or remake of defective products is the sole remedy under this warranty, and Elmsley Curtains And Blinds Limited or its officers will not be liable for costs associated with removal and/or reinstallation of the product. Repairs will be made with like or similar parts. Shipping charges or labor costs for measuring and installation may not be included, at the discretion of Elmsley Curtains And Blinds Limited.

Double glazing panels that 'blow' may require shutter removal and reinstallation, which is chargeable and failure to have Elmsley Curtains And Blinds Limited execute this will void the warranty.

This warranty does not cover damage due to unauthorised repairs, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, acts of God, motorised devices, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow instructions for measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance. Unauthorised replacement parts, repairs, or maintenance voids this warranty. Liability for removal and reinstallation in the same or another window, or damage to the window frame, glass, or any other portion of the window is excluded.

Natural variations in colour, grain, and texture in our products mean we cannot guarantee exact matches to samples or between orders. Returns cannot be authorised due to these normal variations.

All other warranties, both express and implied, are expressly disclaimed. Liability for consequential or incidental damages for any cause is excluded.

Hardware defect:

  • Up to 3 years for general hardware

  • Up to 3 years for stainless steel hardware.

Shutter colours:

  • MDF products: up to 3 years, including colour fastness

  • Waterproof products: up to 3 years, including colour fastness of stainless parts

  • Painted products: up to 3 years (limited by current paint technology).

Paint finishes:

A custom colour may not exactly duplicate due to variables such as timber species, the number of coats applied, sanding, surface preparation, and application conditions.

Installation warranty:

Workmanship in installation is warranted for 10 years, except where fabric surrounding the shutter is unstable or defective, e.g., failing window reveal or fragile plasterboard.

Used packaging and rubbish removal:

Used packaging and rubbish removal is included. You must dispose of all old blinds or window coverings yourself.

Transfer of warranty:

If you sell the property and wish to transfer the warranty, contact us at elmsleycurtainsandblinds@outlook.com We will conduct a survey to ascertain the condition and, subject to approval, transfer the warranty.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. GENERAL

(a) 'The seller' refers to Elmsley Curtains And Blinds Limited and 'the buyer' refers to the person, firm, or company placing an order. These terms and conditions are non-variable unless signed by the seller.

(b) These conditions of sale, along with order acceptance particulars and any special conditions agreed upon in writing, constitute the entire contract between the buyer and the seller.

(c) Time periods referred to in these conditions are essential.

2. QUOTATIONS

(a) All quotations are invitations to the buyer to place an order and do not constitute a legal offer. The purchase order is considered the offer, and the seller’s order acceptance is binding. No alternative terms will be accepted.

(b) All prices are subject to change without prior notice. Prices quoted and agreed include the cost of goods and fitting, including VAT.

3. RETENTION OF TITLE

(a) Goods remain the property of the seller until full payment is received.

(b) The seller has the right to repossess, use, or sell the goods, and enter any premises of the buyer for these purposes.

4. PAYMENT TERMS

(a) Unless credit is approved in writing, full payment is required before delivery/fitting.

(b) Late payments may incur interest at 2.5% per month above the Barclays Bank PLC base rate.

5. DELIVERY

Any goods that are not fitted within 2 weeks of notification of delivery must be paid for in full. We can store orders for up to 4 weeks but they must then be delivered to customers address for fitting at later date. Elmsley will not be liable for any damage following delivery.

(a) Delivery dates are estimates and the seller is not liable for losses due to delays beyond reasonable control.

(b) Failure to take delivery on the due date may incur additional charges.

(c) Delivery address defaults to the buyer’s address on the order unless agreed otherwise.

(d) The seller is not responsible for property damage after delivery and fitting.

6. LIABILITY

The seller is not liable for failure to follow conditions:

(a) The buyer must check shutters and blinds against the purchase order upon delivery/installation.

(b) Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed.

(c) Small defects in handmade shutters are acceptable if not affecting performance.

(d) Goods are not guaranteed against fading from sunlight or extreme conditions.

(e) Products and colours may be withdrawn without notice.

(f) Liability is limited to the value of the order placed by the buyer.

(g) Goods are fit only for internal window dressing unless specified otherwise.

(h) Tolerance levels for panel specifications are ±2mm; warp tolerance is 1mm per 300mm.

(i) The seller is not responsible for changes to the window or surround after the final measure.

(j) The seller is not liable for costs from unauthorised repairs.

(k) The seller must be allowed to address any service dissatisfaction.

(l) The seller must be allowed access to review and photograph any alleged issues.

(m) Photographs may be taken during or after installation for quality control.

7. YOUR RIGHTS TO END THE CONTRACT

Bespoke, made-to-measure products cannot be canceled once ordered. Deposits are non-refundable, but this does not affect legal rights regarding faulty products.

8. OUR RIGHTS TO END THE CONTRACT

The contract may be ended if there is a significant discrepancy between the quoted amount and the amount determined by the technical measure. This does not affect statutory rights.
